You may be sure of a warm welcome at Abbeymead, a family run Guest House close to the centre of Cirencester in the middle of the Cotswolds.
The area is rich in history, from the Romans through the Anglo Saxons and into the Late Middle Ages. The story of Cirencester is well told in the recently refurbished museum in the town centre. Abbeymead is ideally situated for touring the Cotswolds: Tetbury, Bibury, Chedworth, Burford, Bourton-on Water, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and the Cotswold Water Park are just some of the beautiful local places to explore. Local amenities include Golf, Fishing, Sailing, Polo and Walking.
As proprietors of Abbeymead Guest House, Christine & Les Andrews welcome guests staying one or several nights. We have a wide breakfast menu and meet any special dietary requirements. All our comfortable bedrooms are en-suite and we are close to restaurants and the centre of town.

INTRODUCTION - We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our comfortable 5 bedroom guest house. The following statement is a detailed summary of the facilities we offer. If you have any questions or concerns that are not addressed please call us and we will do our best to help.
PRE-ARRIVAL - Abbeymead is situated within 5 minutes walking distance of Cirencester town centre. A local bus stop serving Cheltenham and Swindon is 400 metres from our entrance along well-lit foot paths. The National Express bus stop serving London and Heathrow and other destinations is a 10 minute walk. Kemble Railway station is 15 minutes drive by car or taxi. Our website gives an overall picture of our facilities.
ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES - There is provision for car parking on our forecourt which is flat and has a tarmac surface. There is also street parking available opposite Abbeymead with low kerbs and no gradients. We are able to assist with your luggage and take it up to your bedroom. The entrance is accessed via the well lit forecourt into the hallway, where there is one 20cm step into a 90cm front door. Guide dogs are welcome. Other dogs by prior arrangement.
MAIN ENTRANCE AND RECEPTION - Entrance leads into reception. Guests are escorted to rooms and all facilities are explained. A bell is provided in the hallway to call for assistance.
PUBLIC AREAS - GENERAL (INTERNAL) - areas are fully carpeted with the exception of 2 bathrooms. Staircase consists of 15 stairs of 19cm tread height and width 80cm with a banister rail on the right (ascending). Guest bedrooms are all ensuite. There are no ground floor toilets for public use.
DINING ROOM - Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor. Furniture placement is flexible and can be moved on request. All tables have an under space of 75cm. Chairs are without arms and can be moved. Full waitress service is a matter of routine. Vegan. Vegetarian, gluten free and other special diets are catered for, ideally with prior notice. The premises are non smoking throughout.
LAUNDRY - Drying facilities are available on request.
SHOP - Not applicable.
BEDROOMS - All bedrooms are on the first floor with secure lockable door. All bedrooms have TVs with remote controls and teletext. Channel 5 TV is not available at this location. Non feather pillows/duvets are available by prior arrangement.
BEDROOM 1 - Twin Beds or King Size Double - height 59cm. Entrance to room 72cm, to ensuite 74cm. Shower step 19cm - access 73cm. Toilet height 37cm - free space on right 26cm. Washbasin underspace 66cm.
BEDROOM 2 - Double bed - height 60cm. Entrance to room 72 cm - ensuite 74cm. Bath with shower over - height 55cm. Toilet height 42 cm - free space on right 45cm. Wash basin underspace - 68cm. Ensuite floor - thermoplastic tiles.
BEDROOM 4 - Twin beds - height 57 cm. Entrance to room 72 cm - to ensuite 74 cm. Power shower - step 14 cm - access 53cm. Toilet height 40 cm - free space on right 32 cm. Wash basin under space 64 cm.
FAMILY SUITE - Twin beds - height 48cm. Single bed (separate room) 55cm. Outer entrance - 65cm. Inner door - 71 cm - to ensuite 64cm. Bath with shower over - height 54cm. Toilet height - 40cm. Wash basin under space - 66cm. Ensuite floor - wooden.
